Assuming you have good grades and test scores; consulting firms typically look for slightly different things on your resume. Leadership experience, community involvement/volunteering, club involvement, entrepreneurship. If you're able to hit all those bases, then it's just a matter of networking and nailing the case interview. Ton of resources for that; people say the case interview is harder than ib but I interviewed with MBB and thought it was way easier. You just need to follow the news daily, have a lot of general knowledge...then it will be really easy to connect the dots in case interviews.
