Feeling bad about leaving for full time?

Apologies in advance if this doesn’t make much sense, but kinda needed to vent to people who might have felt something similar. I’m leaving to start full time IB in NYC, about 5 hours from home. I went to a non target and grinded to get this opportunity, so I’m definitely grateful.

However, I’m feeling bad for leaving because my mom will be alone, and hasn’t been in the best health lately. Additionally, my grandparents are also really slowing down and it hurts me to see them this way. They played a big part in raising me. Overall it feels like I’m leaving them when I should be around to take care of them at this stage in their life. Idk man I just feel bad.

If your mom is anything like mine, (she loves you to the moon and back), then I promise you she wants you to go and have fun and be successful, and do not talk about leaving and making her sad or feeling bad, because that will probably upset her and she will feel like she’s holding you back, and that will actually be worse than you just go in and having fun and being successful. Just call her a lot and send flowers every once in a while
