FIG Interview questions: what to expect?
Hello fellow monkeys
First of all, I have checked all the posts in here about working in FIG and what that entails - especially helpful the post about Working in FIG, took lots of notes in that. I have also gone through the Damodaran post, done some DDM and tried to run modelling on an insurance company. I have yet to go through (in much more detail) about the Balance Sheets structure and the IS and CF structure.
After getting all these details my question is: do you have any sample of questions, apart from those of FIG, that they can ask me? I mean, how are interviews structured in terms of accounting or what I would call "standard M&A interview questions" ? All in all, what can I expect in the interview.
If you had a list, it would be greatly helpful to study them before.
cheers

Expect questions about specific valuation methods for FIG companies, what are the key value drivers and specific accounting (ex. for banks know about NPL and how they are accounted and provisioned for)
thanks! in regards to specific valuation/accounting questions, could you list a few more examples? also, would you think reading the Damodaran "valuing financial services firms" is enough in terms of technical prep?
