Financial Modeling as an intern

Hello everyone, I am an income if SA25 and I am curious to know what time of modeling experience is required / done during the internship. I understand that interns might not even touch the model and focus more on PP and marketing materials, but do interns help with modeling at all? Regardless, is modeling experience and knowledge helpful going in to the summer? Would appreciate any insight.
