Financial Modeling: Conditional Formatting

I am currently a senior in undergrad, and in my modeling class (applies to professional modeling from what I understand as well), my professor requires that all input cells are blue font, and all calculated cells are black.

I am trying to find a way to do this automatically, but I can't get conditional formatting to work correctly. I am using conditions based on a formula, but I can't find a way to differentiate between my assumptions and the labels for years. My conditions keep highlighting all of the years blue too.

Formula currently being used: =AND(NOT(ISFORMULA(A1)),ISNUMBER(A1))

This formula is able to correctly identify all cells that don't use formulas and aren't numbers, but I need a way to filter out the year labels. My first thought was formatting those cells as text, but it doesn't seem to work that way. Any solutions?

EDIT

I found this video that accomplishes what I'm trying to do quickly. Skip to 3:40 to learn how to do it manually, or 5:00 using VBA. Hope this helps anyone looking at this that has the same question as me.
