Financial Sponsors Coverage Group - Houlihan Lokey

Does anybody have insight into the Financial Sponsors Coverage Group at HL? Or this group at other banks? Looking to potentially lateral over into Investment Banking and this seems like it could be a promising entry. My understanding is that they work with PE funds, Hedge Funds, etc and their portfolio of companies. They don't do the heavy lifting on modeling as that will be deferred to industry specific M&A groups it seems.

Any insight into comp, workflow, prestige (if any), there is associated with this kind of group at HL or similar groups elsewhere.
