FT cold e-mails

Hi, this is my first post after a few months of sifting through the forums. I'm currently interning at a MM looking to move into a BB or elite boutique for FT.

I was wondering - when are the best times to send cold e-mails? I'm assuming that between Fri-Sun everyone is trying to squeeze in as much personal time as possible and won't want to be bothered. Should I keep the e-mailing strictly during weekdays?

Monday - Thursday in the AM. I would wait another week or so to start firing them off since interviews don't start until August.

Start scouting out a private, quiet place preferably with a landline now since you'll be doing a lot of informational phone calls. Do everything possible to make sure that NO ONE (even fellow interns) know that you're looking elsewhere at all because it will absolutely jeopardize your return offer and that's priority #1. Without a return offer you're damaged goods and will be lucky if you can even find a FT spot at a worse firm, let alone a better. It may seem like your fellow interns are BFFs after spending 100 hours a week with each other but trust me word will spread to first year analysts and up the chain if you tell fellow interns.

Thanks - I appreciate the quick response. I understand that most BB's will do accelerated early Aug, but any word on elite boutiques? (EVR, Moelis, HLHZ, Lazard etc) I know that all banks will offer some formal FT recruiting processes at specific schools, but will they bother doing an accelerated process if they already know they are going back to recruit again?
