Ft recruiting for nyc from west coast

Current junior at a west coast target who accepted an sa offer on the west coast. However my long term goal has always been to end up in nyc. I’m gonna try to internally lateral with my firm to the nyc office, but if that doesn’t work out I’ll likely have to full time recruit.

My problem is, while my school has great alumni placement in SF and LA, it has very limited placement in NYC. How do I connect with people at the NyC offices - is cold emailing randoms the best strategy?

yeah i ft recruited this past summer - just do the same thing you did for SA recruiting and start networking in the spring / following up mid-internship. Be pretty clear about your intentions when you’re having conversations in the summer. Good luck!
