For IB'ers who recruited full-time at boutiques/MMs with no formalized process of hiring and had coffees there, how do you make the ask to recruit FT there (SPECIFICALLY: What did you say?)? And did you coffee associates or VPs/MDs? Talking about boutiques with less than ~20 people

In my experience the MDs will usually refer you to someone within the firm that's in charge of the recruiting, I have had more luck chatting with VP's and Senior Associates.
