Generalist vs Coverage Groups vs Product Groups
Last week I got an offer for BAML SA, they said it was a generalist position, what does that really mean, that I will work at ECM/DCM/M&A deals or that I will be working with every coverage group? I really don't understand how it works and how does the experience compare with working at a coverage group, M&A group
Which location?
London
The internship is generalist in the sense that you will work across teams - such as M&A execution, Leveraged Finance, ECM, DCM and industry coverages, I think it is not the traditional one desk placement thing nor the 2 desk rotation that GS does. Anyone at BAML correct me if I am wrong, this is what I've heard from friends
EDIT: ECM/DCM is seperate I believe as it falls into CapMarkets
