Getting fired the day before bonuses….
Banking is obviously cut-throat, but how common is it to get fired the day before / day of bonus payouts? If anyone has any stories to share plz do in the comments. Was talking with a few non-banking colleagues and they did not believe that this happens.
Also, curious to hear the worst anyone has been stabbed in the back by a coworker for that person’s own gain (as a cherry on top)
Didn’t use to happen but banking is getting immoral with layoffs. It’s not even about cut throat. Group Heads realizing they won’t be able to meet revenue per headcount target start shedding juniors regardless of individual performance.
