Getting into a serious relationship months before starting FT

Would like to hear some thoughts and opinions on those that have gone through it before.

I'm currently going out with a girl and she's keen on getting serious. She's mostly great - I have a ~70% good feeling about her, but there's still some apprehension on that 30%.

Just not sure if I should 'settle' for this 70% or just enjoy being single? Given that I'd be starting FT this summer, I'm quite torn...

Just wanted to get a sense from the community - would you guys have preferred to be in a serious relationship entering FT or would you rather have had the freedom to do whatever you wanted (both wrt dating new people and breathing space)?

Second the above. Never settle. That being said, I got into a serious relationship my senior year and are still together while doing FT. I honestly think it has been very beneficial. Working 12+ hours can be pretty depressing/exhausting and to have someone you can at least vent to/see after a long day of work is great. Also, if they are not directly in finance, it really keeps reality in check of life outside the IB grind.
