Gifts to Analyst at end of Internship

I'm currently doing an IB internship and is very close to one of my analysts. He has helped me a lot and always covers me. I'm thinking to send him a personalized gift at the end of the internship. Maybe a LEGO minifigure with a message like "you are the best". Around $15. Is this gift a good idea? I'm a girl. Don't want my analyst to feel weird or make myself look weird.

Totally calm, May be give that out side of work if you think other colleagues may find it weird. We often make a big deal out of things when they are really not. I’m sure he will appreciate it :)

I’ve grabbed lunch w my analyst on a weekend before, not weird imo but the happy hour mention is also good.

My go to is always a nice bottle of wine at the end of my internship.

We will find out at a Friday, but he will be out that Friday. If I want to give the gift to him in person, it has to be that Thursday before I find out if I have return offer or not. It's tricky tbh. If I don't get a return offer, it'll be silly to give him a customized gift.

Just get him a box of chocolates from sees candies with a handwritten letter saying thank you. And do it for all the analysts not just one.

Surprised at all the negativity in this thread. First, wanting to give a gift to someone who’s helped you isn’t weird - It’s a nice gesture and much appreciated. Second, no one ever gives a personalized gift anymore. Buying someone their next drink at happy hour is meaningless. If y’all have gotten close, absolutely get them something more meaningful.

I am a girl .... Tbh, I don't know why it's weird in banking. I always sent personalized gifts to my previous colleagues who I liked working with.

Get him an extra small size fleshlight. On the note, say you've enjoyed working with him, but you know he's not a BSD.

That's such a thoughtful idea! A personalized LEGO minifigure with a message sounds super cute and not at all weird. It's a fun way to show your appreciation without making things awkward. Plus, it's a great keepsake!
