Going back to IB from F500 Corporate Finance because salary progression is too slow. Am I wearing rose colored glasses
I jumped from MM M&A to F500 corporate finance about 3 years ago mostly for family reasons, but now really enjoy the WLB benefits (30-40 hours, mostly remote) doing a mix of corpdev (slow paced since we have a defensive / conservative M&A strategy) and corporate finance (bond issuances, credit rating modeling, long-term modeling for board). 200k TC which is good enough for comfortable living but my recent increase was like 5% - at this rate it'll take me like 7-10 years to reach 300k on a nominal basis with small promotions thrown in every few years. I can't help but feel I'm limiting my own potential...With those hours in mind though, am I wearing the rosiest of rose colored glasses in my recollection of my time in M&A?How are things going for you guys in banking these days
Banking fucking sucks lol. Would love your job bro
