what is the pia - i've never hear of it?
i do know that they investment in "alternative" assets.
this job has been shopped around by searchwright, a sf-based headhunter firm, for years...
They dabble in tech investments, not your pureplay generalist PE job.
PIA manages Goldman Sachs' "company and partner-owned" capital in the pe and mezz spaces. This would be an awesome job, I can't believe it would have to be shopped.
This job would probably be an excellent step in the direction of PE or possibly even VC (if you can make contacts during your tenure).
