Got Cooked On The Lateral. Now What?

I won't go into much detail, but I had my lateral offer rescinded. I didn't do anything bad, but due to certain circumstances of the group. I got an apology from one of the heads as well. They're looking to see if there are any other open positions, and I've been communicative with them.

However, I'm under the impression that there is no guarantee.

I was previously working in a boutique on the West Coast for a full year. Now I have no job and a lease to worry about.

I'm recruiting for everything and anything at this point in my location. Though in my heart, I'm a bit afraid that this may force me out of IB after slogging my way barely in.

Any advice?
