GPA Drop And Group Placement

Hey guys,

Incoming SA in 2024. STEM + finance double major and had a 3.6 GPA when I recruited last spring. Took a lot of hard courses to fulfill my majors while doing a part time internship and it resulted in my GPA do be in the 3.4-3.5 range. I was wondering if that would affect the group placement process. I want to place into a group I already established some good connections last Spring. I was wondering if my GPA drop would affect my chances of placing into that group.

Thanks!

i'm assuming you accepted the offer close to a year ago. did u already provide transcripts? If so, how long after accepting the offer did u provide them? If you already gave them transcripts, I dk why they'd need an updated copy.

any group that’s gonna take you with a 3.6 isn’t gonna reject you cuz you have a 3.5. would be a diff story if you dropped from like 3.9 to 3.5 and they somehow remembered you had a 3.9
