GPA Resume Accident
Senior in college here; I accidentally overstated my resume GPA by .03 points, 3.55 to 3.58. This was not intentional, and I feel completely retarded.
I've accepted a full time position with a top 15 bank and am wondering if anyone has advice on whether to bring this up to anyone or not. My current semester will likely keep the GPA in this range.
I think you are fine, especially seeing as you are still in school and it could change semester by semester. The difference is negligible.
Don't worry about it. While i'm usually a big stickler for 100% accurate reporting and transparency, I think you'll be fine stating a 3.55 as a 3.58.
Yeah that's not gonna matter at all. If it was 3.5 --> 3.8, then it would be a different story.

This is not a material change in your candidacy at this point. Don't lose too much sleep over this if it was an honest mistake and you've got the FT offer.
I don't they're going to care. Besides, you could have rounded it to a 3.6 anyway. Don't banks only look at your final GPA anyway once you have an offer or do they go back and compare the semester when you interviewed with your resume?
Yea they aren't going to care, you didn't wildly inflate it. I wouldn't lose any sleep on it... Congrats on locking down an offer now go out and have some beers while you still have a life.
if you wrote 3.85 instead of 3.58 that would be a situation... but in this case I think you'll be okay.
Leave it. No one will care about the 0.03 Congrads on your offer.
You will be fine considering that your GPA can change by this semester's end.

I miscalculated my the GPA that I put on the resume I'm using to apply for SA positions. My actual GPA is a 3.29, but I wrote 3.4 because of a calculation error--my school doesn't list GPA on its transcript. How should I go about rectifying the error? Could I just bring an updated resume to my interview? Since my school doesn't list cumulative GPA on its official and unofficial transcripts, would they even notice (it's only about a 0.1 difference)? I'm afraid that if I try to correct it, they will think that I intentionally tried to misrepresent myself.
Did you apply via OCR? (0.1 difference is a lot based on GPA standards) but I would try to get in contact with the HR/recruiter and correct it. A classmate at my school inflated their gpa and got a summer offer. after the offer, HR asked to verify his gpa and noticed the inflated gpa. ultimately, the offer was rescinded because of that. i would just play it safe and try to correct it.
It's a non-issue if you ask me. I'd worry less and prep more.

I applied through OCR, which is online--they didn't provide any sort of email to contact about changes. Should I just send them the new resume when/if they offer me an interview?
