GPA Rounding Question
Hi,
I recently received a referral for an SA position for 2024 and am wondering whether it would be safe or rather worth the risk to bump the GPA on my resume from 3.4 to 3.5, seeing as it seems to be considered by most. as the "floor" for GPA. Part of my concern to do so is that I'm at a non-target, but I also am on my third internship right now as a sophomore and have leadership positions in ECs, in case that helps to balance out the eyesore of a GPA, even with Math & Econ majors.
Thanks so much for any help.
Also sending out my resume to boutiques so wondering how much it would matter for that as well if the insight is different.
If you received a referral you won’t need to worry about GPA as much because it’s a screening tool typically to decide who gets an interview or not. Once you get one it’s up to the individual to perform through the process.
