Great team, shit pay - stay or leave?

Received an insultingly low bonus, single digit %.

Great team, culture, etc. but this is a big slap in the face after working 70-80 hour weeks

What would you do if EVERYTHING except the pay was great? Quit?

If you bonus was in the single digits after working 70-80+ hour weeks constantly, what does that say about how much your team actually cares

If everyone else was paid a much higher percentage, it may be helpful for you to apply to other roles.

What was the % from last year?

I would recommend taking a moment to take a step back and think about other potential opportunities. You can likely leverage your strong relationships with your team / colleagues to make good connections and network into another role that fits your needs. It’s completely understandable and defensible to leave a role if compensation is unsatisfactory even when you’re performing well. Best of luck.

I would say this would generally be fine if you were in a corporate banking role or something similar - know someone who essentially makes a similar bonus % but that's standard in their group, and they only work 30-35 hours weekly. That's not bad for the hours put in considering his base is street
