GS - Conflict Resolution Group

Any one know anything about this group? I know they deal with the investment bankers, merchant banking group, real estate group, etc. I was told by the in-house recruiter that after 2 years a lot of people lateral to one of the groups such as merchant banking, etc. and it's a good way to back door your way into a solid spot. Anyone know anything about them?

What was the concensus on this group/role? Job posting seemed like it was asking for a lot in terms of credentials for a BO/MO role.

I haven't seen any laterals into revenue side since I started. I even asked someone in asset management about that path, and they recommended I seek an internship first. It's also a very small division and to be completely frank, the environment/politics are absolutely and utterly terrible.

Just as a general rule, if a Goldman recruiter is pitching something as an easy lateral, plan on being there a very long time. Their bonus depends on you getting hired quickly, not fulfilling your career goals.

Can you elaborate as I don't follow very well.
