GS Financing
So I originally applied for an internship in the Classic IB division but I just got a superday invite for the Financing division. Don’t really know why this is but several people on another forum said they were in the same boat.
Anyways, could anyone give me helpful info on the Financing Division (info on groups- I know LevFin is probably the best followed by Structured Finance)? Any types of technicals I should expect for this interview? Anything at all helps.
I can advise on leveraged finance / loan capital markets & syndicate (aka loan syndication), and get you what you need to review / prep / understand the role and responsibilities - so you’re not going in with blinders on. In the recent JPM 1Y Ana - Lev Fin Cap Mkts thread, the couple guys I prepped went 2-0 in Round 1, and 2-0 in Round 2 (still not 100% sure, waiting for Final round scheduling, but I have faith in my protégés!!)

what's structured finance lol? Why is it considered good
Same -- A bit frustrated cuz mostly prepared for classics M&A and LBO interviews. Don't know how they made the decision process. While brushing my LevFin/RX technically, any one have any suggestions for preparing technically for structured finance (Or maybe ECM and Derivatives?) Also, how about exit opps to traditional IB, PE, and HF from those groups?
