GS IBD SA 2022

Question

Has anyone got a superday yet for classics? I heard of a couple of people getting offers but was not aware that the process kicked off already

Not sure if this would be super helpful, but thought I'd share my experience interviewing with GS. I had my superday on July 27th. It was supposed to be three twenty minute interviews from 10-11AM. I don't have other superday experiences over Zoom to compare to, but this one was awful in terms of connectivity issues. Seemed like half the candidates ended up doing it over the phone, and I myself had mostly 15 minute long interviews. Two of them were 2v1, and the first was 1v1. All associates except for one VP, but I think this will vary as some said they had MDs as well.

In all seriousness though, it's 6 questions, 45 sec to prepare. 2 of them are very standard questions that you should know for any IB interview. The division specific questions come at the end, and if you applied to something else besides IBD, expect to answer an IBD related question as well as another division specific question for the role you applied. Think those start at question 6 if I remember correctly. You will have more than 6 questions if you applied to another division though. There's 3 situational questions.

The VP//MD's are given a list with names and cellphone numbers on it, and they are told to get through it by the end of the day.  I wouldn't assume you're dinged till the end of the day.

I just got an offer - real estate, non-target, diversity, junior. Interviewed Tuesday at 10:15 am - was called by a VP in the group and my interviewer just sent me an email - trying to provide as much detail as possible for anyone! would love to meet anyone starting next summer and best of luck everybody
