Has anyone got a superday yet for classics? I heard of a couple of people getting offers but was not aware that the process kicked off already

Applications haven't opened... Only people at top targets/diversity have received super days and interviews. Was told that GS would not accelerate this year even when I had a top EB and top BB (MS/JPM) exploding offer.
So only people through diversity events have gotten interviews/SDs/offers right?
No. Non-diversity as well but this is a very select group almost exclusively at targets.
Did you get the GS offer?
How have non-diversity candidates gotten interviews etc. if the app isn't open? Is it because they've accelerated with another offer? Hard to imagine some random email from GS saying you get R1 when you haven't even dropped your resume...
I know that there a few non-core, non-diversity already receiving 2022 offers, despite July apps.

I got the same thing. I got one email claiming mock interview and a second email saying this:

It's a mock interview. Click the invite and it literally says 2021 insight series- Mock Hirevue. It's only 1 question too. "In which division are you most interested and why?" It definitely doesn't matter, so I just submitted a video of my dick. It's not like they'll watch this shit.

Does anyone know if we didn't do insight series what are the chances of getting HV? because I did the insight last year so didn't bother applying for this year and now it seems like I'm disadvantaged since yall already got the HV rip
Guys stop saying you received the HV. I'm also in insight series and it's absolutely meaningless. The curriculum literally said everyone in insight series is getting a HV to practice for the real thing. It's a mock HV and not in any way correlated to the application process. It's only 1 question and when you click the invitation, it specifically says "Summer 2021 Insight Series- Mock Hirevue".
Anyone know if it is advantageous to apply right after the app open or it doesn't really matter? Since it's opening soon, I want to see if that makes any difference

Just to make sure this is correct- if we're applying for 2022 internships then we select 2022 as recruiting year right? Not 2021 but technically our recruiting process is this year so not 100% sure

What division would merchant banking be under? I don't see it under any of the locations.
I think Merchant banking would be either its own division or under asset management, but I don't think its available yet (like IBD rn it seems)
I checked again, and I still don't see it. Do you think that it's under Asset Management > Investing? I am pretty sure that applicants were allowed to select Merchant Banking > Real Estate Investing or Equity Investing last year.

I read an article that its best to not because if one thing is off on it, you killed your chance.

Genuine question, why are you all trying to submit the app the moment it opens? I know you're supposed to apply fast, but would you really lose anything by doing it when you wake up tomorrow?
Would you renege another BB if you got a summer offer at GS?
I think it depends, but usually not worth the risk. You could get both pulled and end up with no offers.
I'm in the same boat, I accepted an offer at a BB a few months ago but GS is my dream job. I don't see how I'll be able to turn down a GS offer should i get it so I guess I'll have to hope for the best. If i end up getting an offer I'll try to be careful about posting on LinkedIn and telling other people and hope that the other BB doesn't find out. Fingers crossed I have that problem lol.

Does it make sense to apply for 3 different programs if I am only interested in IB? Like does it affect the questions in the Hirevue?
You get different HireVues for each role. As far as I know, I might be mistaken though.
Based on previous years, looks like you get one HV and at the end, they ask division specific questions.
Does Goldman care about reneging?
I was told by an analyst and a recruiter that many kids have already accepted offers and still encourage them to apply, as GS will be considering them.

I have been checking all day, nothing. Only regional offices. NYC, Chicago, SF, etc. don't.
Try checking on a different device. If it shows up on your phone or something just restart your computer. I had to close the tab, and then research it to get it to show up.
Anyone know much about their Seattle office for IB? Is it too small to consider applying?
They take a few SA's. Small office, but they work with big companies in the NW like Amazon, also lots of work with the SF TMT group.
Have heard they only take 1 SA.
How does networking really work at GS?
not exactly sure at GS in particular, but most investment bankers have told me that in general there is an email chain between the alumni at the firm and they talk about conversations they've had with candidates and which ones they like. I also think that alum watch your hirevue if you make it to the next round probably but this is what I've gathered I'm not 100% sure
