GS Insight Series - Is it any good?

Not sure if this is a dumb question - just curious to see if any other freshmen have received an invite to this Summer Virtual Insight Series event.

Email says they received 10,000 applications, but how many get selected? Can anyone speak to any experiences they had with it?

Thanks!

Not selective as it's likely a mass webinar, so probably just a GPA cutoff and a soft resume screening process. Other WSO posts have said it's 10% acceptance rate but no source. Putting it on my resume under awards/honors but it'll be the first to go within a few months. Don't put it on LinkedIn; keep your LinkedIn much leaner than your resume. Haven't seen much about the process, but it's probably just that particularly strong applicants will get a hirevue after an end-of-series resume drop for a preferred line of work.

Funniest

Every single time I see the Insight post on LinkedIn I make sure to drop everything I'm doing. Think about how impressive the individual who got into this program is? Not only were they selected from over 10,000 applicants, but they were also extremely grateful to announce that they were selected to participate. It's actually quite baffling, while we, a group of mere pathetic analysts getting pls thx'd at 1 AM, these candidates not only managed to get into this highly competitive program, but they were also able to take the time to let us know.

It's honestly just flabbergasting, the amount of raw fucking ability it requires to get into the Goldman Sachs Insight Series, I made sure to inform my favorite homeless person outside of the Whole Foods at Columbus Circle that I personally interacted with someone who got into this prestigious program, as I couldn't muster the courage to interact with them myself.

Anyone with a pulse gets into the program, did it last year and it provided 0 value.
