£1k signing bonus…

They are cheap but the GS MBD brand is powerful. I’d rather make £47k pro-rata there than ~£70k pro-rata at a 2nd tier place.
70-47=23

23*(6/12)=11.5

11.5*(1-t)= say ~8k

8k can seem like a lot but it is pennies compared with what you can be making in 10y time. At the beginning of your career you should focus on: i. Doing something you like, ii. Working at a place that will allow you to grow, be it internally or via opening doors with brand equity.

At GS MBD you can have all of that. They are cheap for a reason, because they pay you in kind with the brand

I just got the offer for MBD Off-Cycle can confirm that intern salary is still 47k

Moving to London at another firm in Canary Wharf in September most likely, looking to live around there for six months for my off cycle internship. Anyone interested in splitting a flat?

Other possibilities include Bermondsey (halfway from both offices), open to other places too!

I'm a male, super into sports, rap/ hip hop, I'm clean, a non-smoker (very important for me), ideally 1-2 roommates to share a 2-3 bedroom flat in CW? Trying to budget max 900-1k/ month for rent, ideally lower but still want a nice place lol. Let me know!

"Max 900". I'm renting a studio for double that in London (A1 too). I think you're being a tad unrealistic as to affordability in London, especially following recent rent growth.
