GS Summer Associate - Superday
I interviewed with a VP in IBD a month ago (Dec 2023). Still waiting to hear from them on how I performed (ie Superday invite).
Does anyone have an idea about:
1. When does Superday usually happen for Summer Associates?
2. How much time do you have from Superday to receiving an offer?
If you're at the month mark it's past time to move on. Sorry man.
At this rate you'll probably get a rejection in a year or two. Not even kidding, many/most firms completely ghost (even after superday) and you only maybe hear from them when they clean out the portal way down the road.
This seems like a rejection. Anything past a week or two is almost certainly a ding unless they are proactively keeping you warm.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, Superday timelines can vary by firm and by year, but typically for Summer Associate positions in investment banking, Superdays tend to occur in the fall prior to the summer of the internship. Since you interviewed in December 2023, if Goldman Sachs follows a similar timeline, you might expect the Superday to have been scheduled sometime around late 2023 to early 2024.

If you're concerned about the wait time, it's perfectly acceptable to follow up with HR or the person you interviewed with to inquire about the status of your application. Just be sure to keep the communication professional and courteous.
