Guggenheim's London office has indeed been making strategic moves to strengthen its presence, particularly in the TMT sector. They have been actively hiring juniors to build a TMT team, focusing on telecommunications infrastructure. This initiative includes poaching directors and VPs from Greenhill, indicating a significant investment in talent to bolster their capabilities in this area. Additionally, there's an indication that holding US working rights might be relevant for applicants, suggesting a close integration with their US operations or projects that may require coordination between the two regions. This move by Guggenheim signifies their ambition to expand and solidify their footprint in the TMT space within the London market.

Hiring will be big post summer.

Ben Thorpe coming across will be followed by a healthcare build out.

They are currently looking to poach more senior sector MDs and then build out the sectors in 2025.

Good place to be, in at the ground level as the firms Europe presence grows.

Still a small team from my understanding and operating lean, but they've been on some very interesting mandates recently according to TMT Finance. The TMT team that set up the London office is ex-Greenhill specialised in Telecom and Digital Infra and makes a nice supplement to the established US team.

They are also creating a Healthcare LDN-based team. Everyone heard of Ben Thorpe coming from GS but they recently poached Nicholas Riddle from JPM - not well versed into Healthcare but understand they are heavyweights in their field. The idea apparently is that the US mothership is expanding where Guggenheim already has strong creds in America to create a global franchise across both sides of the pond.

Overall, developing nicely but still too soon to tell how this is going to translate in terms of results.
Also for those looking to gauge PE exits, GHL exits are the best benchmark for the TMT team, although it depends how fast HH pick up on its GHL background and how much of a name can the team make for itself going forward

I thought they were not hiring A1s, when was this? Is it the exp. analyst post?
