Gunning for a LND RX internship

I am currently doing an RX internship and was lucky enough to got staffed on an out-of-court restructuring, and I loved every moment of it. This has made me very eager to land an RX internship at one of the better RX shops in London.

In September I will start my master at a target uni in the UK, so basically, how can I maximize my chances to land an RX internship in London? I currently have have the following prep material:

  • restructuring interview guide
  • standard 400 IB questions
  • Moyer's book
  • HL's case study
  • Distressed M&A book

Besides prepping for the technical side of the interview, what else can be done to further maximize my goal? What backgrounds do you normally see at the RX interns? Which shops should I gun for? Which shops should I not spend time on? Do the RX shops in LDN normally handle UK based distress or also European?

For the fellow prospects, let me know if you want to prep together and I will shoot you a message.

Cheers!

I think that RX shops in LND handle also European distress rather than UK only. I think you can find also some more exotic deals in Africa or Middle East depending on how the boutique/bank is organized. Like PJT did Kenya Airways, not 100% sure LDN did it but in theory it should be like that. If you are interested in this, you should check past transactions and try to understand the team that worked on that or at least the MD. Maybe on LinkedIn/bank site you can find these infos.

Regarding the shops: definitely apply to PJT and HL, also Moelis does RX. Maybe someone else can confirm and add other names
