I interviewed FT for 2023 and got an offer.

3 rounds with a lunch prior with analysts in Richmond.

Round 1 - behaviorals, why IB, why HW, why MM etc

Round 2 - technicals - 3 statement questions and multi step accounting, simple qs on LBO / other valuation methodologies

Case with MD - behaviorals same as round 1

Case for me was a cut out of a board deck with imaginary numbers for a stereotypical founder owned MM asset, think Car Wash, HVAC, lawn care… lol

Pretty straightforward framework - similar to how you would do for a PE interview. Business overview, macro environment, multiples, validity of financial projections - potential edits to sponsors or strategics. HW does mega blast sell sides to every MM PE firm on the street so would focus on those types of criteria.

good luck!
