Harvard/Stanford/Yale MPP to investment banking?
Do investment banks recruit for full-time analyst positions (since I don't have IB experience I can't recruit for associate roles) from MPA/MPP programs from top schools like Harvard/Stanford/Yale?

Investment banks generally do not actively recruit for full-time analyst positions from MPA/MPP programs, even from top schools like Harvard, Stanford, or Yale. Analyst roles are typically filled by undergraduates or those with prior relevant experience. Without prior investment banking experience, it would be challenging to break into these roles directly from an MPA/MPP program.
However, there are exceptions. Networking extensively, leveraging alumni connections, and showcasing transferable skills (e.g., financial modeling, quantitative analysis, or policy-related finance experience) can improve your chances. Additionally, boutique or middle-market banks may be more open to considering candidates from non-traditional backgrounds.
For associate roles, an MBA is the more traditional path, as investment banks heavily recruit from top MBA programs for these positions.

i mean... the AI is kinda spot on
It would be extremely unusual. You would very likely get filtered out by the computer since you've already graduated undergrad.
I would apply to MBA programs instead, which feed directly into ASO.
There won't be a dedicated on-campus recruiting like an UG or MBA program would have. However, I'd imagine MPP/MPA candidates would still be considered very attractive for IB jobs as long as you 1) network and 2) have a good story. In particular, I've seen a fair bit of PubFin bankers have MPP/MPAs from top schools.
Omg Stanford and Yale MPPs are not considered top programs lol. (Yale’s has only been in existence for only 3 years…) Please speak to people in the industry instead of reading USNWR for your intel on this incredibly niche educational path
