According to TD Securities' website, the CM&T group has not done any deal in 2021 and they only did 3 deals in 2020, all of which are debt raising. How can an investment bank have such low deal flows???

I don't think that's true. What kind of deals are you looking at? US only?
Off the top of my head, I know they did the AlayaCare raise here in Canada this summer. Probably more.

quick search threw a few: Caledon acquisition of CitySwitch, KKR/oak hill- acquisition of metronet, digital colony acquisition of boingo, Brookfield-Cincinnati bell
OMG, how did you do the search? I tried "TD", "M&A", "merger", "acquire", etc but was not able to find anything. Did you use Google?
To be clear: TD only was part of the financing syndicate for Digital Colony/Boingo and the proposed (and now cancelled) Cincinnati Bell transaction
