Healthcare Public Finance > Healthcare Corporate IB

I am currently an Associate within Public Finance covering NFP Healthcare providers and am contemplating an internal move to the Healthcare Corporate IB group. I realize Public Finance is a bit of a niche group but was wondering if anyone out there had thoughts on if it is a wise career move to make.

Public finance is very niche and can be rewarding at the junior level short term if you plan on going to business school. If you want to do finance for the rest of your life, its not the best option - lucrative exit opps are nonexistent and fee pressure / commoditization of product suite leave it with very limited future upside. Happy to discuss separately, DM me.
