help me sneak out of work

so I was doing some exercise to keep me awake at work and my cheap ass shoes soles ripped off. I need a way to sneak out of work without looking like a douche and get to macys to buy a temporary cheap pair.
Or, even better would be to convince MD to let me out for an hour and half to go home. i got nice shoes at home but keep em for special events, as nyc walking really wears down leather soles fast.

Unless you have a client meeting, who cares what your shoes look like? You just plant yourself at your desk all day anyways...
Just tell him you were doing jumping jacks for the bitches and it got intense so you need to go home to get your converses and finish your work out.
Can't you just tell him that your shoes broke so you are going out to buy new ones? I would guess that is a more than reasonable request unless you are in the midst of a fire drill.
Say something like this, "Boss I was pushing my self to the grindstone so hard that my shoes just broke, now I would never want to embarass you by walking around the office with broken shoes. I was wondering if I could cut out for an hour and go buy some new ones?" And for the love of god buy some decent shoes. This wouldnt happen if you had a decent pair of shoes.
