Help - No BG check for incoming FT - Normal?

Hey guys,

Incoming first year analyst at a BB. Several of my intern friends from last summer have gotten their background check requests from HR like a week ago but I still haven't gotten anything and this is starting to freak me out since its late April already.

Are these bg checks sent out in waves according to last name / offer signing date or whatnot?

I received all the other emails but these bg check emails. Would really appreciate any inisghts on this thanks!

I figured I'd hear when April first came, but it's been crickets for me, too, so I'm curious about this as well. Not sure if I should reach out or not since I might be out of the country in May and it's imperative we be in the US according to my bank.
