High School senior going to non-target next year who wants to break in to BB, MM, or Boutique

I am a senior in high school going to a large public non-target school that has a solid reputation in the midwest. I realize this is an uphill battle and want to prepare myself in every way possible to be competitive, any tips or help?

There may be programs or clubs at your school that have connections. UF has the MSF dual degree program and PennState has the Nittany Lion Fund. Each with about 25 kids that all get placed into top banking positions. You should look out for those and talk with current students.
