From what I understand, it's a urine test. Why would you smoke when you know they are going to drug test you?
Actual work starts in 2 months. I had no clue they would literally drug test 5 days after extending/ accepting. Any other finance job I ever had was a urine test and THC is out after a month max with exercise and high metabolism.
I just took a home test and passed. My only worry is the hair test. Sorry guys, I realize that smoking was a stupid decision but at this point just looking for advice/ confirmation it's a urine test if anyone had to do HireRight.
I can't imagine banks making you take a hair test. They don't actually care if you smoke or whatever as long as it doesn't affect your work product. It's more a hiring formality...
It most likely will not be a hair test.

The urine test is just an HR formality. Nobody does hair tests, they're expensive and too many people in banking use some form of illegal substance every now and then.
So was it a hair or a urine test?
I'm currently recruiting for boutiques. Out of curiosity, when did the test actually occur?
Also curious about timing relative to accepting offer.
