HireRight Drug testing

Will be drug tested by HireRight for a boutique investment bank (e.i. Moelis, Greenhill, Perella). Will it be a hair or a urine drug test?

It seems like I will have to complete it within 5 days of notice, after acceptance I assume. I last smoked 3 weeks ago. Please help.

Do banks really do hair tests? Might have to go bald

Actual work starts in 2 months. I had no clue they would literally drug test 5 days after extending/ accepting. Any other finance job I ever had was a urine test and THC is out after a month max with exercise and high metabolism.

I just took a home test and passed. My only worry is the hair test. Sorry guys, I realize that smoking was a stupid decision but at this point just looking for advice/ confirmation it's a urine test if anyone had to do HireRight.

I can't imagine banks making you take a hair test. They don't actually care if you smoke or whatever as long as it doesn't affect your work product. It's more a hiring formality...
