Hitting the wall

I don't know about other analysts, but has anyone hit the proverbial wall?  It's around 6 months in, and I just find myself tired, unmotivated and lacking an interest in work.  I feel like this is somewhat normal, but I want to get others views on things.  Not to mention, things are definitely slowing down a bit as the market hasn't been so hot.

Anyone have any advice/stories about dealing with hitting the wall?

I am not a banker so I cant comment directly on the type of insane hours and menial work you probably do on a daily basis but I will say that you need to keep everything in perspective.  Banking is a great job right out of undergrad and you are undoubtedly learning a lot about the financial markets and a lot about yourself.  Keep everything in perspective and realize that any entry level job will entail tasks that are tiresome and innane.  You just need to push through the tough times and realize that you will have significant opportunities after your 2 year analyst stint.  You need to make sacrifices early on in order to reap the benefits later.  Hang in there.

im not a banker, but i have ran a marathon, which is another thing that has a proverbial "wall."  at about 22 miles, your body just wants to give up and say screw it.  but with a strong mind, you keep going, and in the end you look back and feel on top of the world.  so my advice is just keep your nose to the stone, and you will be more than happy that you did in the end.

would love to hear more insights about this. I took a good vacation, but setting up decent goals I find keeps me motivated above and beyond the nonsense.
