Homeless as a Analyst
Disregard the bait title,
However, I am a current sophomore who just went through the recruiting process and I got 5 first round interviews, but I am kinda kicking myself in the foot as I went into them with knowing just the true barebone technicals (think 3 statement, valuation methods) and could not properly walk through DCFs or LBOs. Zero technical knowledge basically. Therefore, to be expected, I advanced out of zero rounds and will not receive an offer. Thats right, 5 first rounds converted to zero seconds rounds...quite pathetic.
I am concerned that I just blew a huge opportunity and felt like I let myself and the analysts who referred me down. Is it just an intelligence issue? I tried teaching myself and reading the guides but it just never clicked to me with those two sentence explanations. Currently in a rut here.
