Honestly, how busy are you?

Last fall and winter and the first few months of 2022 were quite the grind, but now it's a complete 180. Instead of working past midnight all the time and rarely having free weekends, I'm able to leave at a very reasonable hour every weekday and now nearly all my weekends are practically work-free. It's all a bit surreal. I am really enjoying this newfound peace and quiet, but can't help feeling a bit antsy about how much work has scaled back. Curious to hear about how other groups and banks are faring in terms of WLB.

1st year at a boutique and I’m grinding 9-11 Monday through Thursday, 9-6 Friday and maybe an hour or two on weekends. 2nd year I’m working with is getting hammered tho lol

Agreed brother. Am enjoying the lifestyle atm. This definitely won’t last tho

Deal flow so slow that you would find it at the special olympics

Deal flow is slow but my MD is finding all sorts of ways to “stay busy” - also known as having us create a bunch of meaningless thematic busy work decks so he can feel like we aren’t actually sitting on our hands. Seriously though. Super light deal flow but I am still grinding on meaningless shit. So frustrating.

At a boutique. Don’t know any analysts on less than 2 live deals, whole group is getting killed
