How bad is my UBS inductive reasoning?

FOMO caused by seeing people score 50 or 70 correct on the Internet made me more obsessed with speed—I was inaccurate & scored 44 correct out of 63 attempted. Am I cooked for my off cycle London application?

If God pardons me & I miraculously scale through this (assuming I ever get interested in UBSagain)—I'll never attempt 60 questions again. I'll remain content with getting 45–50 correct & moving on

May I ask, what YEAR & what division did you apply to when you scaled through to pre-recorded video interview? The competition for IB in 2024 is radically unlike anything before – they might raise the passing score beyond 29/30. My UBS report said my 44/63 was more inaccurate than the general population – I am worried that it spells doom for my chances of getting a HV (as being more inaccurate than the majority of other applicants sounds too "negative").

Hey OP, the competition's always been this mental. Only this year, there are more applicants from more areas and schools. Still, the general pool of outstanding talent that BBs target are still the same (there's only so many "target" and "semi-target" schools to go to).

I can say for someone that's been dinged for UBS but have friends who went through the process: it's a purely random outcome. I am in a 1R for a firm and role I definitely wasn't expecting when I first applied.

FYI someone in HR at UBS will look at your application before proceeding it afaik.
