How cooked am I? (SA 2026)

Have around 3.8-3.9 GPA, two finance internships (one boutique IB, one very small PE firm in NY [but didn't do much modeling/finance-y stuff for the PE firm]), low Ivy league (ex. Brown/Cornell/Dartmouth), top IB club at our school. Was a research assistant for my university to stand out.

Non-nepo/nondiverse. Assume decent technicals + networking. How cooked am I? Be honest and chance me for Top BB/EB.

Cmon bro, you don't understand. There's people with HF internships, MM PE internships, and people who went to HYPSM. I don't have the connections, but I guess I do have American citizenship which is a plus. But you must understand that my questions is valid when there's people who exist like that.

You're fine bro. I go to a slightly worse school with a similar GPA and am also non-nepo/nondiverse. I had one internship at a tiny LMM PE fund and startup experience. I also decided to recruit relatively late-ish (I'm a double major and didn't know which of the two I wanted to pursue a career in), so I wasn't in any finance clubs and didn't really have a tight-knit network to rely on. Ended up getting to two offers at EBs and just did my summer last year, where I got the return. There's always gonna be some kid who's better than you, but it seems like your background is solid, at least definitely better than mine. Even if you don't get GS TMT or PJT RX, it's not the end of the world. Just stay on top of everything, and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Why the fuck am I getting so much monkey shit. I know freshmen with HF internships already and nepo HYPSM people. There's a shit ton of competition nowadays.
