How difficult would it be to transition from CIB Risk at a top 3 BB to Investment Banking
Going to do Risk Management (believe it's specifically credit risk) in the Commercial and Investment Banking division at GS/JPM/MS (not in NYC) my sophomore summer. IB recruiting looking grim, worst case scenario if I end up at the CIB risk position full time how difficult would it be to move to IB? How long would I have to be in the risk position before moving to IB? Any insight is appreciated!
