How do banking hours impact your long term health?

The lack of sleep paired with prolonged stress, especially over 2 years, can have some serious repercussions. Could you guys shed some light on how the hours have affected your body, habits, thoughts/emotions, and skin/hair?

Thank you!

Everyone responds differently.

My associate friend kept in decent shape as an A2A - did a lot of cardio in the morning. Didn't balloon up but wasn't someone who worked out constantly.

Know a MD at one of the top banks that got promoted very quickly (7 years made MD which is almost unheard of, not a rainmaker but was a superstar VP/D from what it seems), guy looks younger now than when I first met him when he was was a MBA student (family friend). Granted he has more than one kid and travels constantly. Super discipline guy.

On the other hand, know of a few whose physical health deteriorated very badly during their analyst years and family histories and their unhealthy sleep schedule caught up to them - hypertension, gaining weight etc.
