How Do I Make Friends During My SA?

Might be a dumb post, but I’m genuinely struggling with this.

I’m 20, don’t have a fake, and came from a non-target, so I don’t really have a pre-existing college group in the city. I also haven’t found myself naturally getting pulled into plans. It’s not like people are inviting me to things and I’m saying no. There just isn’t much to say yes to.

Work is fine, but outside of work I feel pretty isolated. I know “just talk to other interns” is the obvious answer, but that’s easier said than done when groups seem to form fast or already exist from school.

For anyone who was in this spot, how did you actually build a social life from zero during an SA summer? Like literally what did you do in the first couple weeks?

Focus on getting the return. Only thing that matters these next two months.

I mean no shit man but I'd like the process to be more fun if possible. It's not like having friends is gonna make me eat shit.
