How do you deal with an all-nighter?

Wondering what your following day is like. How can you listen, focus or simply just not pass-out?

At some point, the quality of work you produce myst be terrible no?

I’d like to hear about your experiences!

Practical tip from when I used to pull these... still do actually now.

Go outside for a brisk walk. Keep a phone on you but don't look at it. The cold air tends to help keep you awake far better than a jolt of 5 hr energy for example. Of course you need a mix of both but the walk outside helps not only keep you awake but also refresh your mind... keep you sane.

At the same time, it can also make you reflect a bit and wonder wtf you're doing ahahah

Water, coffee and energy drinks, and music all help to some extent. It's good to take quick breaks every 1-2 hours (stretch, use the bathroom, walk around the floor).

It helps if there are 1-2 other people in the office (misery loves company). Sometimes, I'd dock my laptop at another person's desk if a friend on another floor was getting crushed and was also going to be in the office after 3-4 AM.
