How do you respond to comments

With the volume of requests you get as an analyst from Associates / VPs etc, how do you avoid spamming “Sounds good” or “Sure Thing” in response? I’ve tried switching it up with “Sounds like a plan” or “Makes sense”, but feel like these can sound either sarcastic or corny. What’s your go to confirmatory response? Some ideas off the top of my head:

  • “Roger that”
  • “Right away, sire”
  • “Aye aye captain”
  • “Sir Yes Sir”

Funniest

Immediately call them on their cell to confirm receipt and chat through any questions I have. If they don’t answer, I leave a message with my questions and shoot them an email letting them know I left a voicemail with my follow-up questions. I let them know I can’t start working until my questions are answered to avoid “spinning my wheels” and then I power on the Xbox to play NCAA
