How Good is Santander Sophomore Summer for Recruiting
I recently got the offer for the 2025 Santander Sophomore Summer internship. I'm going through recruiting right now for Junior year 2026 internship, so I'm curious how much this sophomore internship will help/mean anything/is any good. I'm targeting EB and BBs (Evercore, CVP, GS, MS, JPM, etc.), or basically firms I'd choose over a return offer from Santander.
It pays pretty well at $52.88, and I'm really excited to be in NYC! I'm just curious about how much this will help my chances of getting an interview/networking call for EBs and BBs.
Its tough and super competitive to really get an internship as a sophomore so this will help a lot. Just know your story and why IB cold along with all the technicals
If you are at like a non target school, anything meaningful will help. Otherwise, it’s not gonna make or break your chances at those banks you mentioned; most sophomore summer internships don’t really mean jack shit anyhow if youre a good candidate.
doesnt matter and wont help landing interviews. Sophomore internships are considered very much if at all. all about the interview. Would probably be smart to enjoy your last summer and time with you parents - get a good gig near home
Also applied to this and had superday. Wondering what your interview was like? I didnt get the offer but the whole process seemed very disorganized. The interviewers were from Sales and trading MDs and they did not know what I was applying for. They hardly asked any real interview questions and the whole interview was just a conversation. And my first round was also a joke. What was your experience like?
It was pretty chill for me. The MDs interviewing me weren't in IB. It wasn't disorganized, though. For half the time, they asked me questions, and for the other half, I asked them questions. My first-round interviewer and my first final-round interviewer asked me the same questions, so I think they had a list.
if you dont mind sharing, what types of questions? Mine were all basic tell me about yourself and very traditional behaviorals. Did you get any technicals?
