How is bank lending viewed and what are future opps?
Currently an analyst in a coverage group that doesn't particularly interest me and so have begun looking around. Seen quite a few openings for what seem to be loans/lending with the bank's capital. These are noticebably at balance sheet banks such as the French & Japanese ones. The lending they do seems to be quite varied covering LevFin, Project Finance and more general green/sustainble loans.
Do these teams do the modelling/anaysis themselves and what opportunities could come out of this?
