How is BofA NET-Power lately

I got a summer associate offer at BofA NET-Power group in NY. It's true that they do one of the biggest deals in the space and after exodus from Barclays senior leadership, they're one of the top two in the power sector.

But how is the culture (working environment with MDs), work-life balance and compensation compared to other shops?

Hours / culture / sr mgmt all terrible - avoid if you have any other options

Yea, comp is also bad at BofA across all groups (BofA VPs / directors are getting paid ~ at EB ASO level).

What are your other options? If you have offers from groups / banks then we can discuss, otherwise just take NET, crush the internship and you can decide for yourself.

Hi, thank you for your response.

My other offer is Piper Sandler in Houston (energy and power group - I'll be working primarily in their growing renewable group within energy services, albeit small). Pay is more in Houston even without the cost of living adjustment so leaning towards Piper Sandler. But is it stupid to even think about not joining BofA because of its brand?
